To, mobilize, orient, train & activise a village based youth in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, health, sanitation, education, opportunity identification etc so as to help & facilitate the residents of the village for leading a better life. The services are voluntary with a token sacrifice from beneficiaries.


These, SGVD work in close association with the nearest "Sristi Knowledge Park " - the local resource centre of the foundation and under plan & guidance of the foundation H.Qrs.

Eligibility to become SGVD

Any youth from his respective village should be at least a (matriculate) 10th pass with minimum age of 18 years.

Willing to help himself by helping others.

Should have complete knowledge of his village demography, recourses & demand pattern.

Should have aptitude to learn, replicate & apply.

Duties of

To attend orientation & training programmes organized by foundation H. Qtrs.

To conduct socio-economic study & other survey of the village

To carry out need analysis of villagers to facilitate arrangements.

As a social activise to create awareness among villagers on health, hygene, nutritional supplementation, scientific food habits development, agricultural horticulture practices, technological development etc.

To liase with Punchayat representatives to dovetail their schematic support/facilities to villagers

How to become a SGVD?

Village Youth fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply on prescribed application form (click to download) with a demand draft of Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of Sristi Foundation Payable at Patna.

The applicant will have to appear before the selection committee of the foundation. On recommendation of the selection Committee, the applicant will be authorized, facilitated, trained and attached to various wings of the foundation enabling him to help & facilitate the villagers, subject to signing of an agreement with the foundation.

Sustainability & income

The SGVD operating in village may have a better livelihood earning of minimum Rs. 10000/- P/M by applying the scheme of the foundation and will be an agent of socio-economic change of the village.

This unit is engaged in production, marketing & distribution of Herbels, medicinal & aromatic plants, plant produces, vermi compost, mushroom and biological control inputs include for Fisheries. To facilitate biotech & bio-tech product’s applications in rural & agricultural development & provide a platform to bio-technologists for developmental excercises in this sunrise technological field.
